About Us
Feminist Leaders on Campus (FLOC)
Formerly known as Organization of Women Leaders (OWLs), Feminist Leaders on Campus (FLOC) is an intersectional feminist organization on Central Michigan University's campus that fights for gender equity through activism and education. We aim to encourage civic engagement, service and empowerment to CMU and the Mount Pleasant Community.

Some feminist issues our organization focuses on include gender equity, supporting survivors of aggression, equal pay, LGBTQ+ rights, minority representation, and more!

Our Story
FLOC is a Registered Student Organization founded in 2013. Originally named Organization of Women Leaders, or OWLs, the organization was founded as a group to further the goals of feminism, a mission that prevails today. Since its founding, the organization has blossomed.
We host weekly meetings Wednesdays at 9pm where we engage with interactive issue educations on topics pertaining to social justice. We also host social events outside of our weekly meetings! Our largest on-campus events are Women's Empowerment Week and SlutWeek.

2022 will be the first year under the new name, and we are so excited for our name to reflect the intersectionality of our group!
